Lights, Camera, Travel!

2 years! It’s been 2 years since I was in B.C. for a wedding and decided that when I got back, I would be diving into Boudoir Photography. What a journey it has been! From doing shoots in Saskatchewan, Alberta & British Columbia, to opening a studio and being so booked I didn’t breathe for the first 4 months. It’s all passed so fast and I can’t help but sit here at my laptop and be grateful as we approach the official 2 year mark on Maison Boudoir. What does 2 years mean for MB?

Business will go on as usual, here in Saskatchewan. The big updates come with travel frequency. The goal with Maison Boudoir has always been growth. I’ve always envisioned having a few studios, scattered over a couple provinces. Multiple locations with varying sets, but 1 unified philosophy: to create the most badass, alluring, print-grade shots of the amazing people that I get to work with. To achieve this goal, I have opened the doors to travel shoots. I have been steadily booking boudoir sessions in both Vancouver and Calgary, throughout 2026. Saskatoon remains a city that I will frequently visit for boudoir sessions, however I don’t really consider it a travel booking as I can get there fairly quickly.

On the front of content and what can be expected, not much will change. I will continue to provide a 1st class finished product that I’m proud of and that makes my amazing boudoir photography clients feel like rockstars. I am planning several more creatively themed shoots in the new year that should come as no surprise to anyone that follows along on the Maison Boudoir journey. A few of them will be pushing the envelope on creativity and good vs. evil, as I like to do.

Pricing will stay relatively the same for the new year, with only a slightly new deliverables structure being implemented.

A lot of speculation amongst my friends and followers on social media has involved a potential move back east. I can confirm that, while Montreal would be an amazing place to build a boudoir studio, the politics of the province will keep me from building there. It’s just not for me anymore.

So, here we stand, celebrating 2 years of growth and accomplishments. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been fun. The best part is the people. The clients are at the forefront, trusting in me and what I do, sharing the art we create together and generally just being amazing human beings.

I can’t wait to see what happens in year 3 of Maison Boudoir.

If you are here reading this, I’d love for you to comment what has stuck out or inspired you from the past 2 years of MB!
